• Do not use the browser supplied navigation – Back, Forward or Refresh. Please only use the buttons that are part of the application (they are blue).
• There is a 60 minute timeout for filling out an entry from Begin Entry to Submit. Gather all information first, then keep in mind that the timeout will prevent the entry from completing after an hour.
•
If you do not receive a confirmation number, it is safe to submit your entry again. IF it is a duplicate, the system will tell you, and will prevent that duplicate from going into the database. (this keeps them from accidentally entering a duplicate)
• Please submit your entry at least several days before the end of the time period in order to be sure that system problems won’t prevent you from getting your entry in. The last 3 days are typically the busiest days – avoid them!
• If you don’t get a confirmation number, but are told that the 2nd entry is duplicate, when ESC is available on May 2nd, there is a way to find your confirmation number to get your status. All they need to do is keep track of the exact name, birth date, and email address that was entered into the Entry form.
