We are writing to you as the winners of the DV-2018 Green Card Lottery from the European region. It was one of the happiest moments of our lives when we were selected in the lottery last year. However, it’s been quite a roller-coaster since then. This is partly because our case numbers are relatively high and each month allocation cut-off numbers were surprisingly low for Europe this year. As a result, many of us feel demoralized and believe that our American dream is shattered.
